From June 16^th to 19^th 2021, the four-day 25th Beijing Essen Welding & Cutting Fair ended successfully in Shanghai New International Expo Center (SNIEC). As an expert for friction stir welding technology solutions, AEE brought his intelligent digital platform of FSW to this fair and achieved fruitful result. The high-end equipment platform, full range of mixing tools, and industry-typical FSW samples attracted many visitors and exchange discussions. AEE team received more than 5,000 professional exhibitors and conducted more than 70 technical exchanges.

Blockbuster launch of digital platform

In this fair AEE launched the FSW equipment digital platform, which can realize multi-dimensional data integration and multiple data visualization. This is also the first time that AEE has publicly demonstrated an intelligent system capable of real-time monitoring of different key data during the FSW welding process:

1.  Digital test and record of force field in welding process;

2.  Digital test and record of temperature field in welding process;

3.  Database record of FSW technology.

In addition, the new technology achievements of friction stir welding technology were displayed on site, including 3.4 mm micro-shaft shoulder, aluminum-magnesium dissimilar alloys, battery trays, motor housings, electric control boxes for new energy vehicles, which are helpful for visitors to understand FSW technology and applications. At the same time, the series of stir tools such as aluminum alloy small shaft shoulders, double shaft shoulders, retractable shaft shoulders, and stationary shaft shoulders on display at fair also attracted many visitors.

Technology feast of experts

AEE invited experts in the friction stir welding industry to give speeches from the three dimensions of technical standards, application fields, and quality testing.

The technical lecture "Interpretation of Friction Stir Welding Standard System" brought by Dr. Feng Xiaosong, the academic technology leader of China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation, deeply interpreted and analyzed the FSW industry system standards.

Speech of welding expert Fu Ningning from CRRC Nanjing Puzhen Co., Ltd. "Application of Friction Stir Welding in Rail Transit Carbody" brings the latest application of friction stir welding technology in the lightweight connection of rail transit car bodies and information on subsequent development trends.

Zhou Pengfei, deputy director of the Nondestructive Testing and Pressure Technology Research Office of Shanghai Spaceflight Precision Machinery Institute, gave an on-site presentation of "Aerospace Testing Cloud Platform and Intelligent Nondestructive Testing", introducing the application and development of FSW joint quality nondestructive testing in an easy-to-understand manner.
